Today I’m sharing the 5 free tools every strata apartment building should be using to make there building run smoother, faster and more like a building in 2019.

Now these tools aren’t the only options for each problem, but they are free, some can be upgraded for a paid option and I would recommend that this be done.

#1 – Google Sites

This is googles free website builder tool, all you need is a free Google account to building your website.

Upgrade – the small upgrade cost is the purchase of your URL/domain name, less than $20.00 per year.

#2 – Grammarly

This is an amazing spelling and grammar checking service, far better than Microsoft or Apple spell checking. Worth the couple extra minutes of work to check your letters, minutes, emails and everything else is free of silly errors.

#3 – Google Forms

Google Forms is one of the little know google tool, but provides amazing power and function. With google forms you can survey people, collect feedback on a matter, keep an easy register on a topic, conduct electronic meetings.

This service is so great it lets you send the email while you make the survey/form and you can limit who and how many times they submit their feedback.

#4 – Dropbox

This is an old service but still amazing, no more do you need to send a file, just send the link and keep the original safe. This might sound more difficult than the current process but it will allow share more information before and let people access the informaiton they wnat, opposed to what you think they want.

#5 – Slack

This is for the truly organised and busy committees. Slack is a workflow tool that is famous for reducing internal emails to almost zero.

Moving into a slack world will be hard at first, but will bring great returns, especially for those buildings conducting major projects, or want to keep a searchable history of how your building runs.
