As people, we often over complicate a matter and chase the biggest solution, when often the solution is easier than you expect.

A common problem in buildings are slow lifts, often the solution considered costs $100,000s and includes lift upgrades.

But a building in New York decided to install mirrors in the building’s foyers on each floor, and the complaints of slow lifts stopped immediately.

What this building really did is distracted the occupiers for a couple seconds while they waited for the lifts, as they looked in the mirror and straighten their hair and outfit.

So next time you look to solve a problem, look beyond the complaint and maybe you might find the real problem can be solved with something much simpler.
